Sustainability

Certifications

Packsize’s Corrugated Supply Chain is certified sustainable by the two leading forestry programs worldwide. The Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®) label is a sign you are buying wood and paper products from a responsible source, backed by a rigorous, third-party certification audit. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) label provides a credible link between responsible production and consumption of forest products, enabling consumers and businesses to make purchasing decisions that benefit people and the environment as well as providing ongoing business value.

Operations

The power for our own factory in Enköping, Sweden and our headquarters is 100% carbon neutral. Our headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah is powered entirely by wind and water generated electricity. The Swedish manufacturing facility is powered by wind, water and some nuclear generation. At Packsize, we have proven that paying a reasonable premium for sustainability will generate returns and measurable profitability. The true cost of unsustainable supply chains is usually not captured by the purchase price alone. Instead, our society as a whole are paying a higher price in the form of increased health care, premature death, loss of productivity and reduced quality of life.

Fleet Management

When Packsize engineers, service technicians or area sales managers drive to your facility, they produce 85% fewer smog forming emissions than the average visitor to your plant. Packsize selects the most sustainable and cost efficient vehicles for its fleet. Our current fleet is 100% hybrids rated at 50 mpg and we have pre-ordered the world’s first plug-in hybrids rated at 130 mpg.
