Happy Earth Day! How are YOU helping the environment?
Yesterday, April 22nd, was Earth Day. We hope you’ve all enjoyed it. If you were oblivious to the multiple trending hashtags on Twitter, and are just now hearing about it, that’s okay. Appreciating and caring for the environment is something that we can—and should—be conscious of during the entire year.
Personally, this time of year is a mixed bag for me. I think it’s easily the prettiest season—right when everything blooms and the new greenery is at its most vibrant. The view from my window has never looked better. But at the same time, I get hit with allergies so hard that I inevitably turn into a puffy-eyed mucus monster before the month ends.
Still, my wife and I try to take advantage of this time of year by going on nature walks and planting some new flowers and vegetables around our house.
What do you do for Earth Day? Or how do you show your appreciation for the environment throughout the year? Let us know in the comments!
On a more serious note…
The Huffington Post noted yesterday that we have reached another sad climate milestone. In short, a year ago a big fuss was made when the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere hit 400 parts per million for the first time. Because this number fluctuates throughout the year, the concentration went back down shortly afterwords. However, researchers say that the concentration of CO2 has now been above 400 ppm for about a month now.
This is another reminder to all of us how important it is to care for the environment. At Packsize, we strive to provide our customers with the best and most sustainable service available.
By shrinking box sizes, we can have a profound impact on the amount of waste we produce. Don’t believe us? Just watch the video below:
The actions of a single person are, admittedly, pretty insignificant on the environment. But the point of this video is that when everyone does something small (like use smaller boxes) the actions add up to something pretty awesome.
