Make a New Year’s Resolution to Reduce Your Carbon Footprint
It’s a fact that the world today is producing more waste than it ever has. We all know this and we all want to reduce our carbon footprint, but sometimes it can be hard to know what to do. Here is a list of some ideas that you can use to make a New Year’s resolution to be a little bit green in 2013.
-Don’t buy bottled water.
-Cut back on paper towel use
-Make reusable plastic bags more reusable- use them over and over
-Ride your bicycle more often
-Take public transportation
-Eat fresh food, not prepackaged food
-Eliminate the junk mail you receive in the mail
-Replace light bulbs with energy saving bulbs
-Turn your thermostat down just 1 degree
-Buy from companies that use smart packaging! This one is especially important to us. Packaging material is one of the largest contributors to waste throughout the entire world and we need your help to reduce this waste. Go here to sign our petition and pledge to use smarter packaging!
