Packsize’s Packaging Machine is a 2015 Edison Award Nominee
The iQ Fusion 2™ is now a finalist in the Edison Awards™, an annual competition that is designed to honor excellence in new product and service development, marketing, human-centered design and innovation.
And I may be a bit biased, but I can’t think of an invention that deserves it more. The iQ Fusion 2™ allows a single operator to create custom sized boxes 20 percent faster than the previous generation of machines. The machine has the smallest footprint of all Packsize box-making machines, freeing up precious warehouse space that was previously taken up by corrugated cardboard box storage.
Customers who use the iQ Fusion 2™ have no upfront capital costs and save an average of 20 percent on their packaging costs.
But the biggest benefits of the iQ Fusion 2™ become most visible when you look at the pictures above. On the left we have a bunch of random orders packaged using a traditional box system, and on the right we have the same products, only packaged with the iQ Fusion’s™ custom boxes.
The finalists span twelve categories and more than 30 sub-categories. Winners will be announced during an Awards Gala in New York City on April 23rd.
The recognition is ranked highly due to the unbiased reviews of entries by a network of industry experts, business executives, and academics who provide third-party validation that delivers an affirmation of superior quality. Receiving a nomination for an Edison Award—one of the most prestigious accolades honoring excellence in new product and service development—is a great honor for Packsize.
Winners represent game changing products, services, excellence and leadership in innovation around four criteria: Concept, Value, Delivery and Impact. Founded in 1987, the awards are named after inventor Thomas A. Edison and symbolize the persistence and excellence in innovation as personified by him. Winners are chosen by a steering committee that includes prestigious names such as Sandra Bates (CEO & Founder, The Innovation Partners), Simon Fung (Senior Product Development Specialist, 3M Corporation), Hari Nair (Managing Director, Kimberly-Clark Global Innovation Center Korea), and others.
