
Dan is a Partner at Peterson Partners. Peterson Partners is an independent investment firm based in Salt Lake City, UT, with funds in private equity and search. Founded in 2003, the firm has over $2.5B in AUM and has partnered with over 300 companies.
Prior to Peterson Partners, Dan was a transaction consultant and CPA with PwC in New York City advising many of the world’s leading private equity funds on complex transactions. Dan has served on the board of 12 growing companies where he coaches and advises high-performing management teams with a focus on business services and healthcare. Dan earned a BS in Accounting from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
David Lockwood joined Packsize as CEO in 2024, with over three decades of experience in business, academia, and government. From 2012 through 2018, David served as CEO of Energy Solutions and from 2019 through 2021 as their Executive Chairman. Before Energy Solutions, David was Chairman and CEO of Liberate Technologies, CEO of Intertrust, and Managing Director of Goldman Sachs.
David has served on over twenty public and private company boards of directors, including Steinway Musical Instruments and Forbes. He has also served on several non-profit boards, including the Exploratorium, a San Francisco-based museum dedicated to science education, and USTAR, the Utah Science Technology and Research Initiative. David has been a lecturer at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business, and from 2019 to 2021, he was a senior advisor to the US Secretary of Energy.
David is the author of four books: Fooled by the Winners, Outplayed, Confused by the Odds, and Rightsizing Nations. David has written extensively on politics and history, including the importance of developing new technologies to combat climate change.
David currently serves as a member of the Columbia University Parents Leadership Council and the Steering Committee for the 2034 Olympic and Paralympic Games. He is married with three children and resides in Utah.
A fifth-generation innovator born in Germany, Hanko Kiessner founded Packsize alongside his wife, Laura, with a vision to reimagine the potential of packaging. Hanko followed in his father’s footsteps by working with the leading German Z-Fold corrugated supplier and later experimenting with Right-Sized Packaging on Demand® in Herford, Germany.
Today, Hanko is an advocate for sustainable practices in packaging and beyond. He is passionate about reducing waste, protecting the environment, and making the planet a better place.
In addition to being a Founder at Packsize, Hanko co-founded Leaders for Clean Air (a non-profit organization dedicated to improving Utah's air quality) in 2015 and is responsible for Salt Lake City’s largest solar panel-covered rooftop and EV charger installation, which is among the largest in the state.
Reed W. Topham is a seasoned board leader, strategic advisor, and investor with more than three decades of experience advising public and private companies on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, risk management, and shareholder relations. He spent the majority of his legal career as a partner with Stoel Rives LLP, one of the leading regional law firms in the western United States. While there, he chaired the firm's Executive Committee from 2014 to 2018, leading approximately 360 attorneys, and earlier led its 70-attorney corporate practice group.
Mr. Topham is also an active private investor and managing partner of Nakasone Capital, LLC, a family office that has invested in Packsize for more than twenty years. Since retiring from active law practice in 2023, he has focused on investing, board service, and strategic advisory work. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Cornell Law School and his B.S. in Accounting, cum laude, from the University of Utah.
Sujeet Chand is a strategic leader, entrepreneur, and board member with a deep perspective on industrial technology, market trends, and technical innovation. From 2005 to his retirement in 2021, he served as the SVP and CTO at Rockwell Automation, the world’s largest company dedicated to industrial automation and software. His leadership at Rockwell was instrumental in transforming the company into a technology company and driving business growth through innovative product platforms, a world-class partner ecosystem, and engineering best practices.
He serves on the Boards of three public companies – Flowserve (FLS), Proto Labs (PRLB), and Veeco (VECO). His relentless focus on making a difference for customers by helping them achieve greater productivity and sustainability earned him numerous recognitions, such as the SME’s prestigious Eugene Merchant Medal (2019), top 100 Industrial IoT Influencers (2018), and 30 Visionaries of the World in Advanced Manufacturing (2016). He currently holds 63 patents and has published more than 75 technical papers in research journals and conferences.
Sujeet earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in electrical and computer engineering and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Florida.
