TITLE:                                    

Sr.Electrical Engineer

HOURS:                                  

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00pm

DUTIES:                                

Create electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for new and existing machines. Responsible for the design and layout of e-cabinets and industrial panels. Assist other engineers in building and testing complex automated machines and subsystems. Build and test electro-mechanical systems. 3D Print parts. Work with PLC’s and industrial automation technologies. Writes code appropriate for a specific test. Programming and parameterization of servo drives. Provide input during design reviews. Help with troubleshooting and debugging efforts.Assist in writing test plans. Engage in continuous improvement activities. Work with the team to organize, clean and maintain R&D test area (5S). Maintain prototyping hardware and test equipment. Use R&D equipment and other shop tools. Troubleshoot machine electrical, controls, and industrial communication problems. Working and coordination between trans-Atlantic R&D teams in the US and Sweden.

REQUIREMENTS:                

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Five (5) years in any occupation with experience in mechatronics and industrial machine automation, or related must include: Low voltage DC and high voltage AC experience; electrical schematics;Machine automation, industrial electrical wiring and associated safety protocols; Eplan software; Experience with soldering and wiring up test systems; Programming in C/C++,Python, Visual Studio; Experience with conformance to applicable equipment specifications; Experience with sensors related to machine automation, data acquisition principles, and creating automated systems; Established interpersonal skills to collaborate in team environments while maintaining individual duties effectively; Experience with prototype and 3D print simple designs and assembling systems to test automation strategies; Experience designing for compliance with electrical safety standards in both Europe and the US: NFPA 79, IEC/EN60204, or IEC 61508; Experience with electrical risk assessment considerations such as performance levels of components; Experience with design for EMC compliance, both Europe and US; and Experience working with servo drives and the design considerations needed to meet compliance.

ALTERNATE EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

‍Employer will accept no degree and Seven (7)years in any occupation with experience in mechatronics and industrial machine automation, or related. Must have skills listed above.

ROVING/TELECOMMUTING EMPLOYEE:

‍Reports to company headquarters in Salt Lake City, UT. Can work remotely or telecommute up to 15% across the U.S & international travel to Sweden,Spain, and Belgium.

SALARY:                                

‍$144,683 - 145,683 per year
