SEEFELDER opens brand new logistics center

In mid-September, the traditional Landshut-based company SEEFELDER celebrated one of the biggest milestones in its history: The opening of the new logistics center at Dieselstraße 5 in Neufahrn in Lower Bavaria. SEEFELDER GmbH is one of the leading wholesalers for fittings, assembly technology as well as tools in Germany. The company focuses on easy online ordering facilitated by a web shop and eight pick-up stores.

One of the many added values SEEFELDER offers to its customers is fast shipping from a central warehouse. The new logistics center, from which around 1,000 parcels are shipped daily, already moved from Landshut to Neufahrn at the beginning of August without any problems. “This is how we managed to report full daily readiness from day one” says Oliver Nagel, Managing Director. At the new location, the owner-managed company now has up to four times the capacity as before and is continuing on its environmentally conscious and sustainable path: the goods are packaged in a process-optimized manner, measured by laser and then the packages are cut to the right size. This saves huge amounts of packaging material and in addition shipping is largely plastic-free. In Neufahrn, the team has access to a warehouse area of 4,000 square meters, which in turn accommodates a three-story shelving system with an area of 1,728 square meters, 10,000 shelves and up to 50,000 load carriers. Around 65 employees can be found on site, 40 of whom work in logistics and 25 in the office.

The new logistics center supplies all customers throughout Germany as well as parts of the Austrian sister company Odörfer SEEFELDER in Graz. In addition, goods can also be picked up in Neufahrn: Via Click+Collect, any available goods are ready for pickup within 60 minutes.
